Wednesday
So I'm having a serious lack of motivation lately....or maybe it's more a lack of direction. I have so many things that I should be doing around the house...but here I sit at my computer most of the day! It's just so much more fun to play than to do all of these silly chores...maybe tomorrow. No wait...tomorrow I have to go to work! Some pre-school year meetings to bond with one of the schools I'll be working in....the school has been having some serious issues and we're getting a new principal that I am VERY excited about....my attendance is technically optional since I work at several schools....but it seems I should go and make a good impression :) I guess I'll be getting paid to go too, so that's even more incentive! So that will take up most of my tomorrow and half of my Friday. The other half of my Friday will involve a trip to central Oregon to visit Wil's mom and their family.....should be a good weekend.
So the past couple of nights I've gotten sucked into Rock Star INXS...anyone else watching this?? Last night I stumbled upon Jordis's performance of David Bowie's "The Man Who Sold the World" and I really loved it! I have to admit that I don't think I've ever heard Bowie's version....but Jordis was incredible...it was such an emotional performance and I love her voice. She performed it again tonight for an encore and I wish they would release it somewhere...very cool. So of course right now she's my favorite....lol....based on one performance....and without seeing many of the others perform! Really wasn't planning on getting hooked on anything but Big Brother....but now I think I might need to see what happens! And while I'm on the topic of Big Brother...I am SO BUMMED that Kayser is going to get voted out this week....ugh....
OK....nuff of that....think of me tomorrow....don't know if I can survive a WHOLE day of work....I'm out of practice....lol. (bet I'm not going to get much sympathy for that comment - my apologies in advance to all of you who work all year 'round!)

I have watched the INXS show a few times since Dan is into it, but you know INXS--that's kind of "after my time..." Still...the performances have been fun to watch. I was actually reading a book when that performance came on that you mentioned, and out of the corner of my ear (LOL), I heard that song, and I was like, "wow, that is a really powerful singer singing an amazing song"--one I'd never heard before. Dan was asleep, of course, (he always does that...falls asleep right when I want to talk to him), so I couldn't ask him about it. I think the panel really liked it, from what I heard. I have no preference for the winner, but thought she did an amazing job.
I can imagine that Big Brother is right up a psychologist's alley! LOL!
